Founder & Executive Director
Ms. Mira Rani Das is the visionary Executive Director of the Nari Unnayan Foundation (NUF), leading the organization with a strong commitment to women’s empowerment, gender equality, and social justice in Bangladesh. Under her leadership, NUF has expanded its programs in GBV prevention, SRHR, livelihood development, capacity building, organization development, donor government office liaison, and community resilience. She provides strategic guidance, fosters innovation, and ensures that all programs reflect NUF’s mission of creating a more inclusive and equitable society for women and marginalized groups.Ms. Das is widely respected for her dedication, compassionate leadership, and her ability to build strong partnerships with communities, donors, and stakeholders.Her vision continues to inspire NUF to grow as a dynamic organization working for meaningful and sustainable social change.
Pulin Behari Das
Director-Program
Pulin Behari Das is a senior management professional at the Nari Unnayan Foundation (NUF), bringing over 32 years of extensive experience in senior and mid-level leadership roles with BRAC and World Vision Bangladesh. He has a strong academic background, having completed his BSc (Honors) and MSc from Dhaka University.
In his current role as Director-Program, Mr. Das provides strategic direction and leadership across NUF’s programs. His responsibilities include strategic planning, program management, quality assurance, team supervision, and capacity development. He plays a vital role in partnership building, coordination with stakeholders, monitoring and evaluation, reporting, proposal development, and resource mobilization.
He also oversees financial compliance, ensures risk management and safeguarding standards, and promotes innovation, learning, and continuous improvement across all program areas. Mr. Das reports directly to the Executive Director, supporting organizational decision-making and driving the overall mission of empowering women and marginalized communities.
Nandita Das
Director-Administration & Finance
Nandita Das has been serving with the Nari Unnayan Foundation (NUF) since 2020 as the Director of Administration and Finance. She ensures smooth and efficient office operations through effective documentation management, procurement oversight, staff support, and logistical coordination.
In addition to administrative leadership, she manages the organization’s financial functions, including budgeting, bookkeeping, voucher preparation, financial record maintenance, and reporting-ensuring accuracy, transparency, and full compliance with organizational and donor policies.
Ms. Das holds both a BBA and MBA from Dhaka University, contributing strong academic and professional expertise to her role.
Moumita Das
Deputy Director-Field Operations
Moumita Das has been serving with the Nari Unnayan Foundation (NUF) since 2023 and currently holds the position of Deputy Director – Field Operations. She is a spirited, dedicated, and highly committed professional who demonstrates strong analytical skills, effective management capacity, and a proactive approach to achieving program goals.
In her role, she provides leadership in project implementation, supervises field activities, coordinates with stakeholders, ensures timely reporting, and supports smooth and efficient communication across teams. Her contributions play a vital role in strengthening field operations and ensuring high-quality program delivery.
Ms. Das holds a B.Pharm (Honors) and M.Pharm from East West University, bringing valuable academic excellence and leadership capability to NUF’s program operations.
Reva Rani Das
Director-Training
Reva Rani Das has been serving with the Nari Unnayan Foundation (NUF) as the Director of Training since 2022. She is an experienced trainer specializing in Gender and Equity, with strong expertise in GBV (Gender-Based Violence) and SRHR (Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights) programs.
In her role, she plans and organizes training sessions, develops comprehensive training materials, facilitates capacity-building workshops, and maintains detailed participant records to ensure effective learning outcomes and high-quality training delivery. Her work significantly contributes to strengthening community awareness and empowering women and youth.
Ms. Das holds an MA in Social Science from Chittagong University, bringing strong academic knowledge and professional dedication to NUF’s training and development initiatives.
Aninda Krishna Joy
Director-Communication
Aninda Krishna Joy joined the Nari Unnayan Foundation (NUF) in July 2024 as the Director of Communication. He brings strong technical and communication skills, backed by a BSc (Engineering) degree from Daffodil International University, Dhaka.
In his role, he leads NUF’s communication strategy, ensuring clear, impactful, and engaging outreach across digital platforms, publications, campaigns, and media relations. He is responsible for strengthening the organization’s public image, enhancing stakeholder engagement, and promoting NUF’s mission, achievements, and advocacy initiatives. His innovative approach and commitment to excellence support NUF in expanding its visibility and increasing community and donor engagement.
